Terms of Service
These terms govern access to and use of Kompose.
Last updated: 2026-03-16 1. Introduction
Welcome to Kompose. Your use of https://kompose.dev and the related web, desktop, mobile, and connected services that link to these Terms (collectively, the “Services”) is governed by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). In these Terms, “Kompose,” “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to the provider and operator of the Services.
In order to use the Services, you must first agree to these Terms. If you are registering for or using the Services on behalf of an organization, you are agreeing to these Terms for that organization and promising that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. In that case, “you” and “your” will also refer to that organization, wherever possible.
You must be over 13 years of age to use the Services, and children under the age of 13 cannot use or register for the Services. If you are over 13 years of age but are not yet of legal age to form a binding contract (in many jurisdictions, this age is 18), then you must get your parent or guardian to read these Terms and agree to them for you before you use the Services. If you are a parent or guardian and you provide your consent to your child's registration with the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms with respect of your child’s use of the Services.
Your use of the Services is not contingent on the delivery of any future functionality or features or dependent on any oral or written public comments made by Kompose regarding future functionality or features.
If you have entered into a separate written agreement with Kompose for use of the Services, that agreement will control to the extent it conflicts with these Terms for the specific Services covered by that agreement.
BY USING, DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, OR OTHERWISE ACCESSING THE SERVICES OR ANY MATERIALS INCLUDED IN OR WITH THE SERVICES, YOU HEREBY AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THESE TERMS, THEN YOU MAY NOT USE, DOWNLOAD, INSTALL, OR OTHERWISE ACCESS THE SERVICES.
CERTAIN FEATURES OF THE SERVICES OR SITE MAY BE SUBJECT TO ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES, TERMS, OR RULES, WHICH WILL BE POSTED ON THE SERVICE OR SITE IN CONNECTION WITH SUCH FEATURES. TO THE EXTENT SUCH TERMS, GUIDELINES, AND RULES CONFLICT WITH THESE TERMS, SUCH TERMS SHALL GOVERN SOLELY WITH RESPECT TO SUCH FEATURES. IN ALL OTHER SITUATIONS, THESE TERMS SHALL GOVERN.
2. Accounts
You may need to register an account in order to use some or all of the Services. You agree to provide accurate and complete information for your account and to keep that information current. Your account is for your own use unless we explicitly support another use case. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly if you become aware of unauthorized access to your account or any other suspected security breach.
3. Content
You may create, upload, transmit, sync, or otherwise make available information through the Services, including tasks, scheduling information, connected account data, notes, and other materials. All such information is referred to below as “User Content.”
You are solely responsible for the content, legality, and use of the User Content you submit through the Services, and you assume all risks associated with that content, including intellectual property or other legal claims. You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit, store, use, and share that User Content and that doing so does not violate any applicable law, regulation, license, or third-party right.
We do not actively monitor all User Content, but we reserve the right to review, remove, disable access to, or require removal of User Content, and to suspend access to the Services, if we believe your use of the Services or your User Content violates these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of others. We assume no liability for User Content submitted by you or other users, and deleted content may be irretrievable.
Information, data, and materials made available through the Services by Kompose or its suppliers are referred to as “Kompose-Supplied Content.” While we try to keep Kompose-Supplied Content accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.
4. Proprietary Rights
By submitting or uploading User Content through the Services, you grant Kompose a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, and process that User Content solely as necessary to operate, provide, secure, and improve the Services for you.
Except for the limited license above, you retain your rights in your User Content. You are responsible for protecting and enforcing those rights, and Kompose has no obligation to do so on your behalf.
You acknowledge and agree that Kompose and its licensors own all right, title, and interest in and to the Services and Kompose-Supplied Content. Nothing in these Terms authorizes you to use Kompose’s trademarks, logos, domain names, or other brand features except as otherwise permitted by law.
5. License from Kompose and Restrictions on Use

You may not use any robot, spider, scraper, data mining tool, or other manual or automatic device to retrieve, index, or gather content or data from the Services in a manner not authorized by us.

You affirm that you are over the age of 13, as the Services are not intended for children under 13.
6. Fees and Paid Features
Unless otherwise stated, the Services may be offered without charge. If Kompose introduces paid features or paid plans, additional pricing, billing, or purchase terms may apply at the point of purchase or activation.
7. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit consumer rights that cannot be waived or limited under applicable law.
8. Privacy

You agree to protect the privacy and legal rights of other individuals whose information may be included in your User Content. To the extent your User Content or use of the Services requires compliance with specialized privacy or sector-specific laws, you understand and agree that you are solely responsible for that compliance.
9. Modification and Termination of Services
Kompose may change, suspend, or discontinue part or all of the Services from time to time, including through security patches, feature updates, or operational changes. Any new features added to the Services will be subject to these Terms unless stated otherwise.
You may stop using the Services at any time. If account deletion or disconnect options are made available, you may use those options to end your use of the Services.
Kompose may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if we believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or if your use creates security, legal, or operational risk.
You are solely responsible for exporting your User Content from the Services prior to termination of your account for any reason, provided that if we terminate your account for our convenience, we will endeavor to provide you a reasonable opportunity to retrieve your User Content.
Upon any termination of the Services or your account these Terms will also terminate, but all provisions of these Terms which, by their nature, should survive termination, shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

11. Changes to the Terms
These Terms may be amended or updated from time to time without notice and may have changed since your last visit to the website or use of the Services. It is your responsibility to review these Terms for any changes. By continuing to access or use the Services after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, please stop using the Services. Please visit this page regularly to review these Terms for any changes.
12. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES ARE AT YOUR SOLE RISK AND THAT THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
KOMPOSE AND ITS LICENSORS MAKE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES AND DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES REGARDING THE SERVICES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, KOMPOSE DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT: (A) YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, (B) YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR (C) DATA PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICES WILL ALWAYS BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR AVAILABLE.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
SUBJECT TO SECTION 12 ABOVE, KOMPOSE WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, GOODWILL, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY WHETHER OR NOT KOMPOSE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF OR SHOULD HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSSES, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS OF LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KOMPOSE’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO KOMPOSE FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kompose and its affiliates, officers, agents, employees, licensors, and service providers from and against third-party claims arising out of or related to (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Services, (c) your violation of applicable law, or (d) your User Content.
15. Copyright Policy

If you believe content available through the Services infringes your rights, please contact Kompose through the contact details made available through the Services or at https://kompose.dev and include enough detail for us to review the issue.
16. Third-Party Content and Materials
You may be able to access or use third-party websites, resources, content, communications, or information (“Third Party Materials”) through the Services. You acknowledge sole responsibility for and assume all risk arising from your access to, reliance upon, or use of any such Third Party Materials, and Kompose disclaims liability arising from that access, reliance, or use.
You acknowledge and agree that Kompose: (a) is not responsible for the availability or accuracy of Third Party Materials; (b) has no liability to you or any third party for harm, injuries, or losses arising from your access to, reliance upon, or use of Third Party Materials; and (c) does not promise to remove Third Party Materials from being accessible through the Services.
17. Third Party Software
The Services may incorporate certain third party software (“Third Party Software”), which is licensed subject to the terms and conditions of the third party licensing such Third Party Software. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under, or grants you rights that supersede, the terms and conditions of any applicable license for such Third Party Software.
18. Feedback
You may choose to submit comments, suggestions, or ideas about the Services, including ways to improve the Services or our products. By submitting feedback, you agree that your disclosure is gratuitous, unsolicited, and without restriction, and that Kompose may use that feedback without additional compensation to you and may disclose it on a non-confidential basis. You also warrant that your feedback is not subject to license terms that would require Kompose to take on additional obligations with respect to products or services that incorporate that feedback.
19. Disputes
If you have a dispute or concern about the Services, we encourage you to contact Kompose first so we can try to resolve it informally.
Any disputes relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved in accordance with applicable law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law.
20. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Kompose relating to the Services. If any part of these Terms is held to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that part shall be deemed severed and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. The failure of Kompose to exercise or enforce any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
